Our May 2013 grant event was all about bringing awesome to HRM’s waterfronts. In celebration of World Ocean’s Week, Awesome Halifax partnered up with Waterfront Development to give away not one, but two grants. And even more exciting was that one of those grants was $2,000! Taking the cash home that night was the Bedford Brass Quintet (they won the $2,000 grant), who will be giving free concerts to those who take the Alderney Ferry. Our second recipient was the Little Fishers Club. These folks use the Bedford waterfront to give local kids free fishing lessons. Together, these two groups will be bringing event more great things to Halifax’s already-awesome waterfronts!
